Adoption of cardiology PACS poses challenges to CIOs

The diversity of images and data and the complexity of the patient care environment make it more challenging to implement cardiology PACS than radiology PACS for most hospital CIOs. However, at least one hospital official says the advantages of cardiology PACS, such as improvement in work flow and reporting accuracy, offset the technical difficulties of adopting the technology.
