Detroit airport offers incentives for new airline routes

Stung by declining air traffic, Detroit Metropolitan Airport plans to offer airlines a plan that would essentially reduce landing fees to zero on new routes maintained for at least one year. The airport's board will vote next week on the plan to slash landing fees by about two-thirds, then offset the remaining fee with marketing credits.
