G-20 ministers to review vows to strengthen financial regulations:

In April, leaders from the Group of 20 nations pledged to bolster regulations of the financial industry and apply lessons learned from the global crisis. This week, G-20 finance ministers will meet in London to review those pledges. For example, one goal was to build up banks' capital buffers. The Basel Committee of central banks and bank supervisors is drafting global principles for the effort.
