USA tops cable viewership rankings for August

With an average of 3.79 million prime-time viewers, USA Network maintained its ranking as the most-watched ad-supported cable network in August, but Discovery Channel and TLC were among the biggest gainers among the top 40 networks. TLC saw its audience rise 40%, to 1.13 million viewers, while Discovery experienced an 11% increase in viewership, reaching 1.25 million people during the month.
