Delta Air Lines, already the largest U.S. carrier in Asia, says more growth is coming. "Our goal in Asia is to be the carrier of choice for both Asian as well as American customers," Delta President Edward Bastian told reporters on Thursday. "We have seen significant improvement in our outbound travel." Since 2008, Delta has added 12 non-stop trans-Pacific routes, and at least four new Japanese routes are in the works. A strengthening yen is making travel more attractive for Japanese passengers, boosting Delta's hub at Tokyo Narita.
