Nearly 300,000 are expected in Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend

Labor Day weekend should attract about 290,000 visitors to Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. But the authority estimates visitors will spend 3% less than in 2009. "We expect our Strip resorts to be completely full on Saturday night," said Yvette Monet, a spokeswoman for MGM Resorts International. "There is still some room availability at rates similar to last year's room rates."
