TSA, airlines continue to move toward paperless passes

Domestic airlines and the TSA are working together to test paperless boarding passes. Paperless passes allow travelers to download their passes to their cellphones or mobile devices. Observers note that the process has taken more time in the U.S. than in other countries because the TSA has additional security requirements for airlines to meet. At this point, passengers on airlines participating in the test program can receive a downloadable boarding pass as an e-mail.
