7-Eleven sees value in in-app consumer feedback

7-Eleven is among the many developers taking reviews submitted within its mobile application seriously as a means to improve the next-generation app, writes Lauren Johnson. 7-Eleven is culling from what it calls the Idea Hub to create a crowdsourced critique of design features of the app itself, as well as ideas on what consumers want, such as rewards cards and free birthday doughnuts, for example. Such in-app reviews also eliminate privacy considerations since they are submitted voluntarily, analysts say.
