Brands could get pinched by SNAP reduction

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program could lose additional funding, giving consumers less money and changing the landscape for food-makers and retailers. Makers of branded food might be particularly challenged, as SNAP recipients switch to private labels, says Burt Flickinger III, managing director of Strategic Resources Group.
