On diet and exercise, preschoolers follow parents' lead, study says

Preschool children imitate their parents regarding diet and exercise, according to a study published in the International Journal of Obesity. Researchers from Duke Medicine found that restricting access to junk food and supporting family meals at home helped children eat more healthy foods, and in general, the home environment affected dietary habits more than physical activity levels.
