IBM pairs with academia to train future data scientists

To help meet its need for data scientists, IBM has partnered with clients and universities to introduce programs that teach students technology and business processes related to specific industries. One project, a partnership including Yale and GlaxoSmithKline, led to jobs for two students. The partnerships are "a natural evolution of the marketplace," said Rich Rodts, IBM's manager of solution specialists and global academic programs.
