Several colleges in Illinois are boosting efforts to meet the needs of students and the manufacturing industry. The College of Lake County in Grayslake, Ill., will launch the CLC Manufacturing Skills Network this fall, which is designed to help employers in need of workers with specialized skills connect with college students and graduates who possess those specific skills. Other colleges have established similar programs and some have developed accelerated certification paths.
