NBC Sports scores surprisingly big audience for English soccer

NBCUniversal is off to a surprisingly strong start for its first two weeks of Premier League soccer, with NBC Sports Network recording its highest weekday viewership since last year's Olympics. One of the keys has been "not to Americanize" the telecasts, said John Miller, president of programming for NBC and NBC Sports Network. "The Premier League is English and our broadcasts are uniquely English with a great English host in Rebecca Lowe, and knowledgeable commentators who know the Premier League and can talk about it intelligently," Miller said.
