Opinion: Obama passing Syrian buck to Congress

President Barack Obama is abdicating the role of a leader in asking Congress to vote on a strike on Syria, an editorial by the Wall Street Journal argues. Obama is within his authority to make a move against the regime that used chemical weapons, and a limited strike is too weak a response, according to the editorial. "The problem with the intervention that Mr. Obama is proposing is that it will do little or nothing to end the civil war or depose Assad," the editorial states. "It is a bombing gesture detached from a larger strategy," the editorial continues.
