Poll: 42% of doctors support making Medicare payment data public

An American College of Physician Executives poll showed 42% of physicians surveyed supported making Medicare payment data public, while 46% were opposed. The CMS has asked for input on privacy issues surrounding the release of the data, and critics said the information could easily be misinterpreted by the public and be used to portray physicians unfairly.
