Santa Monica, Calif., backs restrictions on helicopter noise

The Santa Monica City Council in California has voted unanimously to support federal and state bills that seek to limit noise from low-flying commercial helicopters around Santa Monica and West Los Angeles. The legislation would require commercial helicopters to fly specific routes above a certain altitude.
