Small study ties sesame seed extract to lower glucose rates in prediabetes

Data on 20 prediabetes patients with mild-to-moderate hyperlipedemia showed that those who took an herbal blend with sesame seed lignan extract attained significant improvements in lipid profile and glycemic levels, compared with those who took a placebo. The findings were published in the Journal of Food Research.
