Sonic explores tech tools to boost loyalty program

Sonic is upgrading its IT to offer a next-generation customer loyalty program that will tailor offers and promotions based on customers' previous purchases and push offers to members when they're within a mile of their local Sonic, the company said. The drive-in is also testing digital touchscreens that recognize return customers when they pull into a stall.
