Supply route targeted in attack on U.S. base in Afghanistan

NATO shut down a key supply road Monday after insurgents attacked a U.S. base near the Pakistan border in Afghanistan, officials said, adding that no coalition troops were killed. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, the latest in a series of strikes in the region.
