Why women need "power brokers"

Women don't need more Twitter followers or mentors to get ahead; they need sponsors, or "power brokers," to support and endorse them, author Sylvia Ann Hewlett says. "This is what men have been doing for decades" to land promotions, investors or new clients, she says, adding research shows such sponsorship can increase pay and stretch assignments by as much as 30%.
