ALDI offered tax breaks to build distribution center in Texas

ALDI is still choosing a location for its 500,000-square-foot distribution center and has been offered $1.67 million in tax breaks from the Denton City Council in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Under the agreement, ALDI would invest $1.6 million in upgrades for a five-year, 100% tax abatement on its distribution center, equipment and inventory. ALDI's $40 million distribution center would have about 120 employees and support the company's planned 23 retail stores in the area.
