Contractor problems force Jacksonville to restart courthouse design

The city of Jacksonville, Fla., has lost nearly $1.2 million in taxpayers' money due to payment for a preliminary courthouse design that now cannot be used due to financial troubles with one of its contractors. The city's contract with the joint venture of Auchter Perry-McCall was canceled in May because of financial troubles involving Auchter Co.
