Ice buildup is focus of pending regulations for some 777s

Regulators in the U.S. and Europe reportedly are prepared to issue new regulations for preventing ice buildup in the fuel systems of many Boeing 777 aircraft. The rules would apply to about 220 planes with engines manufactured by Rolls-Royce PLC, but British officials are asking Boeing to consider precautionary measures for the entire 777 fleet.
