Study: Customers want healthy, functional drinks

A global market study sees a shift away from carbonated beverages and toward fruit juices, sports drinks and other beverages perceived as healthier. The study from Global Industry Analysts also found growing demand for ready-to-drink tea and coffee beverages, and says established soft-drink lines can benefit by adding products with a functional appeal.
