Yahoo! and Verizon renew rev-share deal

Yahoo!'s revenue-sharing distribution deal with Verizon Communications is aimed at drawing more users to the Web portal's search, e-mail and instant-messaging tools. Under the terms of the new deal, Yahoo! will share ad revenue with Verizon; in their previous deal, Yahoo! compensated Verizon for driving traffic to the portal in addition to sharing ad revenue.
