Fulcrum says catalyst turns solid waste into ethanol

Fulcrum BioEnergy announced that its catalytic technology at its demonstration plant in North Carolina proved effective in converting municipal solid waste into ethanol. The California-based firm is working to establish a manufacturing plant that will generate 10.5 million gallons of ethanol a year from 90,000 tons of post-recycled municipal solid waste.
