Amtrak is committed to maintaining its Southwest Chief service throughout Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico despite funding concerns over track development projects. "We remain highly committed," said Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari. "We get many inquiries all the time about expanding service. This last year we had the best passenger numbers we've ever seen."
