Developing networking chips is next quest for Intel

Intel's goals to move into the wireless market and become a chipmaker for the network environment are coming to fruition with its recent chip offerings and its intention to serve as an Ericsson partner on radio access networks in the telecom sector. The company also debuted an optical interconnect that promises to reduce data center cabling.
