Exploring the geography of small-town America

As part of a series known as American Futures, journalist James Fallows is traveling to small towns across the country to explore interesting economic stories and other topics. Fallows began by visiting Holland, Mich., to investigate the manufacturing industry in the area. In this podcast, Fallows discusses the project and Jack Dangermond, president of Esri -- which is a partner on the project -- talks about the storytelling power of cartography.
