Group seeks to raise awareness about misdiagnoses among gifted children

Advocacy group Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted is focusing an awareness campaign on the trend of medical misdiagnosis of students who are gifted, writes gifted-education teacher Tamara Fisher in this blog post. Research shows some students are misdiagnosed with mental illnesses or other medical conditions, she notes.
