International Baccalaureate schools become more popular in Calif.

Bon View Elementary School in Ontario, Calif., is the first International Baccalaureate school in the Ontario-Montclair School District, but officials say they want to add more elementary schools and a middle school. IB programs are appearing in schools in Ontario, Fontana and Yucaipa as well. "The purpose of the International Baccalaureate, to a large extent, is to get them [students] to realize that they're part of a world community," said Galen Shotts, IB coordinator at Jurupa Hills High School in Fontana, Calif.
