ISU's pilot-president raises safety concerns from Board of Regents

Iowa State University President Steven Leath often pilots his own Piper Cherokee on official trips around the state. While his contract does not restrict him from flying planes, members of the Iowa Board of Regents have raised safety concerns. "[Regents are] always concerned about the safety and welfare of their chief executive. So they want to make sure that I’m very careful and very safe," Leath said.
