Pa. town board might revise ordinance on wind projects

The North East Township, Pa., Board of Supervisors is considering tightening rules on wind projects. Johnny Walker, a developer at Pioneer Green Energy, which aims to build a wind farm in town, says a wind-power ordinance provides adequate protection to residents and property value. "In Somerset, where they have in the neighborhood of 20 wind projects on the ground, they've had an uptick in tourism and have never seen property devalue or trickle down at all," Walker said.
