Paid vacation becoming less common in private sector

The percentage of workers saying they receive paid vacation days is 77%, down from 82% in 1992 and 1993, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The biggest drop occurred in companies with fewer than 100 workers. Other types of paid leave such as maternity and sick time have become more common, data show.
