Senate committee to hold Keystone XL pipeline hearing

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a hearing on TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline once the State Department finishes the project's environmental study, affirmed Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., chairman of the committee. "What we wanted to do was be able to call them in when they had completed [the studies] to get a factual understanding, and to subject their final findings to the scrutiny of the committee's membership," said Menendez, who is against the pipeline.
