South Korea loses ground in global growth, competitiveness rankings

South Korea is losing ground as measured by growth rate and by economic competitiveness, according to separate measures by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's World Factbook and the World Economic Forum. Among the negative competitive factors cited were lower flows of direct investment, high tariff barriers and inefficiency in business accounting.
