Surety to fund repairs on recently completed Ind. city pool project

A surety company has agreed to pay $52,000 of the cost for repainting a renovated pool in New Haven, Ind., after the original contractor went out of business. Local officials observed peeling paint in the city-owned pool weeks after it reopened in June 2011, following a $4.1 million renovation. The total cost of the repairs is estimated to be less than $65,000.
