Va. port's cargo volume rises 13.7% in July YOY

The volume of 20-foot-equivalent units at the Port of Virginia increased 13.7% in July compared to the same month last year. "Additionally, our rail volume continues to be strong: in July, we handled 37,985 rail containers and that figure represents the second-best month for rail in the history of the port, after the all-time record set earlier in May," said Rodney Oliver, Virginia Port Authority interim executive director.
