Drug company adds safety information to product labels

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, maker of the world's top-selling hormones for post-menopausal women, said this week that it will include safety information on product labels following a Women's Health Initiative study. The study found that Prempo, though effective for menopausal symptoms and fracture prevention, increased women's risk of heart attacks, blood clots, breast cancer and stroke.
