Lexington plans new student complexes on warehouse sites

Lexington, Ky., officials have plans to tear down two former tobacco warehouses covering nearly 15 acres and erect apartment complexes for University of Kentucky students. The proposal is welcomed by some who see it as a key to development in the warehouse district, while others are concerned that the area would lose its distinctive character.
