Arts poised for a comeback in California schools

While some may view California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's about-face this past year on school funding, particularly for the arts, as an election-year strategy, jubilant PTA members and arts educators say the state's $500 million funding boost this year will go a long way toward restoring music and art classes as a vibrant part of the curriculum.
