Consumers must examine labels for accurate fat information

Now that the FDA requires food manufacturers to list trans fat content in products, many companies are turning to alternatives such as palm, palm kernel and coconut oil -- all of which contain saturated fatty acids. The trans fat labeling law has also introduced a host of questions from serving sizes listed in nutrition facts to labeling in restaurants.
