Corporate investments total $1.3B in first half of year

Corporate venture investment in private firms during the first half of 2007 focused on medical device, biotech and software firms, according to a new report from PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association. "If corporate venture investment continues at this pace, we could see all-time record levels in the near future," the president of the National Venture Capital Association said.
