Google patent reveals mobile payment option

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has released Google's application for a mobile phone-based payment system called GPay. The system would let users access their bank accounts via text message to make purchases in participating stores. While the technology isn't new, Google's adoption of it may help make it more commonplace.
