Physicians who have implemented EMR systems cite numerous improvements regarding patient care, such as increased time with patients, better treatment of chronic conditions, rapid alerts to potential drug reactions, and immediate access to patient medical histories and vitals. Nurses and support staff also say the systems help offices run more efficiently.
