Settlement reached in Google AdWords trademark case

Google has won what appears to some an important victory in its bid to maintain the practice of auctioning trademarked names as keywords. American Blind & Wallpaper Factory is dropping a nearly four-year-old trademark infringement case that charged Google was violating trademark law when it allowed competitors to bid on its own trade name as a keyword search term.
