Airlines look to credit card partners for cash infusion

Airline companies looking to increase liquidity are asking issuers of their co-branded credit cards for billions of dollars in advance frequent-flier mile purchases. But the banks, pinched by a crisis in the credit market, are seeking tougher terms, including more specific marketing information on frequent fliers and the freedom to partner with additional airlines.
