Beijing Paralympics improve attitude toward people with disabilities

Chinese people with disabilities are relishing the positive effect the Paralympic Games -- which begin this weekend -- are already having on long-standing prejudices. In advance of the games, Beijing has made the city and its attractions more accessible to people with physical disabilities as well as guide dogs and for the first time, state media have featured positive portrayals of people with disabilities, advocates say.
