Nanopillar array can boost efficiency of solar cells

Researchers at the A*Star Institute of Microelectronics have developed a method to improve the power conversion efficiency of silicon-based thin-film solar cells. The nanopillar array design created by the scientists is said to maximize light absorption, while reducing production costs.
