N.Y. group finds quality variations in hospital report card

The Niagara Health Quality Coalition issued its latest report card on New York hospitals, finding that errors and mortality rates for some preventable complications have improved since 2002 but hospital-acquired surgical infection rates continue to rise. The report also found significant variation in quality within individual hospitals and among hospitals.
